Stroll into the
tranquil town of
Capt: Alvaro was out injured, but his show was a huge success nonetheless and the thousands that attended went home with big grins on their faces.
The event named “Oakley
Alvaro Invitational” kicked off around 9pm with a DJ cranking out the tunes and
the riders being introduced one by one. Once the action started two riders at a
time hit the side-by-side metal kickers to portable landing throwing down their
fav tricks; Villa even landing a No Hander Flip landing no hands, while the
Page bros produced quality tricks such as Cliffhanger, Ruler, Indy and Cordova
Flips. Busty held back a little due to being a little knackered from his 12
hour drive but still had the crowds laughing with his Goon antics … go Busty! Daboot’s
own Vanni Oddera and Massimo Bianconcini held their own with combo Flips and
tech tricks backed up by the wild boy Jader Toninello and Maurizio “Icio”
Poggiana. The only injury of the night was to Paolo Grana, who separated his
shoulder after crashing on the downramp. Paolo didn’t miss the after party
though, which cranked on well into the night. Alvaro unfortunately couldn’t ride due to an elbow injury he sustained a week earlier, and as bummed as he was, he was still stoked with the way the night unfolded. Below I have some photos of the action for you to check out, and for more info about Alvaro and his crew log on to www.daboot.it
Capt: The calm
before the storm. Check out the crowd, massive!
Capt: Check out the
angle Charles Page is hitting the ramp at, and then check next photo.
Capt: He needed the
angle off the kicker to Whip it next to Villa who’s executing a No Handed Flip
as part of an eight man train.
Capt: More two up
crazyness from Daboots … Ah, not sure who these riders are, sorry.
