Yes, this blog is way overdue, but to say I’ve been a little busy of late is an understatement. Late May I spent four days with Mal Palmer from Mt Buller M/C Tours, and a great bunch of blokes, exploring the Huts Of The High Country, Victoria. It was a great ride, freezing cold at night camping by the fire in swags and in the huts. We took on some challenging hill climbs and the footage/pics we scored was all-time. Peto was along filming for an upcoming TBAM DVD, and he impressed us all with a few classic flips off the back of his WRF250 loaner. Wait to you see the pics in the next issue of TBAM, out mid August. Thanks for the top weekend Mal.

Two weeks later I was plane hopping all the way from the Goldy to Broome, W.A. to meet up with a bunch of locals for an epic 11-day Outback adventure through the Kimberley. What a ride, what a place, and what made it even sweeter KTM trusted me to test their new 950 Super Enduro weapon, which truly proved to be the ultimate machine for the terrain we covered. From the long, dusty, dirt roads to the rougher, rocky, harder trails it made my time twisting the throttle very enjoyable indeed. I did throw the big girl away on the second last day and came away with a dislocated shoulder to remember my mistake that came on a night ride back from one of the gorges. All I did was dodge a rock on the trail, which sent me of into the two-foot-high spear grass where an even bigger rock was hiding. That rock caught my front wheel and threw me to the ground quicker than I had time to react. You can read all about this and more in the next issue of TBAM also. I’m now chilling out in Sydney catching up with friends and family and grateful for the chance to finally type this out and upload it with a few pics. Today, Saturday, I’m heading off to Campbelltown to shoot an FMX demo for Freerider MX so hopefully my shoulder handles lugging around my gear for a few hours. I’ll do my best to throw a few pics up next week when I can score some time on someone’s broadband connection. Until then I’m back to chilling out! Cheers, Goba.
