Wow, not long back from and incredible adventure ride in New Zealand with John Nicholson from NZ Adventures. It rained 4 days out of six, which meant we got soaked to the bone and rode through the deepest mud holes, crossed fast flowing rivers and climbed some of the most amazing mountains I’ve ever seen.

We had to spend some time hitting the roads to access the trails but once we were on them it was on! There was a great bunch of lads on the tour and you'll be seeing the full story come out in issue 10 of Trail Bike Adventure Magazine soon. Here's some pics to wet the appetite. The first day before we hit the west coast and the rain.
Climbing Mt Patriach still on the first sunny day.
The rivers started flowing faster once the rains came.
This section was like riding over bowling balls. A big test of balance and throttle control.
The mountain climbs left you gobsmacked!
If it’s scenery you’re after NZ is the place to be.
John Nic winding his way down towards our final destination Blenheim.
There’s so many more great photos to come, but you’ll have to wait till they appear in issue 10 of TBAM first! |
