It's
been a long time coming and on the eve of my departure I feel like a kid
one sleep before Christmas day. The day when I throw my leg over my
KTM690R and ride off on a planned 6000+Km adventure ride that will see
five of us ride into the heart of Australia self-supported.

How good is that feeling of getting off the tar with no one insight
No more
deadlines, internet, regular chores, waking up to another day that
slips by before you know it, just five mates and two weeks of adventure
that will see us make our way south west from Northern NSW taking back
roads to Broken Hill on route to the Flinders Ranges, then north to
meet up with the Finke Desert race before diving into the depths of the
Simpson Desert towards Birdsville and back again. It's nothing that
hasn't been done before, but to us guys that are heading off together
it's an adventure, a chance to slip away from the norm and escape the
reality of our own regular lives for days on end. A chance for boys to
be boys, camp out in the outback under a blanket of stars, and talk as
much bullshit as we want!

It's
always a good idea to test your gear before the big adventure. Stoked
on those Safari tanks and Wolfman Expedition soft bags!
